YOG Training/Validation Week

One entire week of our June holidays was dedicated to our duty at Marina Barrage, where Singapore will conduct the Canoe/Kayak races for the Youth Olympic Games AKA YOG. Most of the canoeists, including the secondary ones, were involved in this major event, as volunteers of course. The secondary three canoeists, as well as several rugby and track & field boys who were also helping out, were selected to be starters, the person who assists in starting the race. Just some pics of us there, helping out and stuff.

Canoeing Championships 2010

This April, the Sji Canoeing team had competed in the NCC, and for most of us, it was or first time at Bedok Reservoir. Instead of presenting a wordy recount of the event, I will replace it with extra pictures. As they say, pictures tell a thousand words, so let the story begin.
Warning: Post may be too graphical

Do you think that we were victorious? Well no, we weren't. We fought hard, and clinched the 2nd place for the C'Division and 3rd for the B'Division. Though we had lost our title to ACSI, we know that they won because they had worked harder than us. That is why throughout the photos, you only see satisfaction. I think this is really a wake up call for us, we must work harder if we want to regain our glory, and we must work towards it together. JOSEPHS, ORA ORA ALL THE WAY!
